The HCC Leadership Club has been on campus for three years. The goals of the club are to explore opportunities to learn about leadership development and practice leadership skills. The club works on criteria for the Maryland Community College Activities Directors Association Leadership Certificate. This certificate is a state-wide recognition of leadership development, which includes attending workshops and conferences, learning about leadership styles, working on leadership philosophies and mission statements, practicing leadership techniques, and more. Club members host leadership workshops, attend area student leadership conferences, work on service learning projects, and complete a leadership portfolio. The club meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 2:30 p.m. in the Student Center conference room.
